There are 9 recognised species of Ciulfina mantis, many of which were described by G. I. Holwell on the basis of male genital morphology. It's unlikely, I'll be able to pin down the exact species here.

Professor Ethan Temeles, who supported the filmmakers to capture this sequence, confirmed to me via email that this was filmed on Mt. Diablotin. He also explained the sad truth that 80% of the hummingbirds died from food shortages in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017. On top of this, the hummingbirds are under immense pressure from habitat destruction. As a result of increasing human development, Prof. Temeles loses another study site every year.

Based on the two cream-coloured lines below the eye, I believe this is a tree frog of the genus Dendropsophus, and the species found in French Guiana is counani [1]. I later came across a BBC article [2], which confirms that Dendropsophus counani was among the species filmed for this sequence: "We filmed these beautiful tree frogs called Dendropsophus counani – that lay their eggs on a leaf. They do this before the heavy rains arrive, in the knowledge that eventually the eggs will drop down in this kind of jelly sac and you can see the tadpoles wriggling in there. But they then eventually fall into the pond that then forms – so the frogs are aware that the rain’s coming."
