I went to Peru in 2016 with three friends from university after we'd finished our finals. In two and a half weeks, we covered most of the major pit stops in the southern part of the country - Puno (ft. Lake Titicaca), Cusco (ft. altitude sickness), Arequipa (ft. El Misti), Colca Canyon (ft. Andean condors), Nazca (ft. lines), Huacachina (ft. dune buggies + deserts) and Paracas (ft. Islas Ballestas). I still can't believe how much variety this country has to offer in terms of its landscapes and things to do. Also despite Machu Picchu being so ridiculously photogenic, the photos don't do it justice. It deserves its place on anyone's bucket list for sure!
