I went to Kenya for two week in the summer of 2019. Having travelled to Zambia the year before, I was itching to go back on safari, this time with my girlfriend in tow! We split our time fairly evenly between the hustle and bustle of Nairobi, the vast expanse of the Maasai Mara, and the beautiful beaches of Diani on the coast. I genuinely loved every moment of it but my personal highlights include meeting Maxwell, our adopted Black rhinoceros, at the Sheldrick Wildlife Orphanage, seeing wild cheetahs for the first time (we were lucky enough to spot three!), and finding ourselves surrounded by monkeys and duikers on a walk through Karura Forest. I'd love to go back, particularly to visit Amboseli for its stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
